work concept
intervention in several streetes and squares of barcelona. the city of barcelona has a very particular garbage collection system. each neighborhood in the center of the town has a limited area that has a specific day of the week that allows to residents to place their old remain things on the street. it is normal that every day of the week you can find different stuff lost in the old furniture, mattresses, children’s toys, old books… a number of objects left to their fate.
colectivodosbarcelona is proposing a politico-social view to face this situation through installation and performance. this project try to create a critical consciousness to face this problem. we live in a invisible crisis. we know that it exists, we feel in our day-a-day, but when we look around, in our neighborhood and our society, there are situations that point in another direction.
basurapertothom attempt to show that what is apparentl
y garbage has another meaning. with this stuff you can create spaces, places, not places… they’re no longer a waste but something else.
everthing depends on the look… the paintings lost in a street in grácia where submitted one night as an exhibition of photography rather absurd. these walls have had another meaning. residents have seen another view from their neighborhood that they were used to.

Barrabés, es un pequeño video experimental de varios recorridos realizados en el Valle de Áran (Val d’Aran), Barcelona, España, de 17 a 23 de Mayo de 2009. El documental transmite toda un abordaje real al terreno, como documento visual de un recorrido realizado en que el objetivo mientras el registro es también el de documental, transmitiendo sensaciones, realidades, dificultades y estados de sublimación.
synopis
Barrabés Barcelona, is a short experimental video of several walks in the Aran Valley, Pyrenees, Spain, 17th to May 23rd of 2009. A real approach to the field is showed by the documentary, not only as visual record of a journey but also the intent of the document, feelings, realities, challenges and sublime states.
